JOB TITLE: Legal Advisor

SALARY: up to c£50,000 (£DOE)

THE ROLE:
A vital role has become available within a leading public sector organisation. You will be responsible for advising the senior leadership group, council and other senior stakeholders whilst also working on high profile cases. The successful candidate will have a varied and engaging caseload, ranging from legal policies, contracts, litigation and the development of legislation affecting the organisation. On offer is the opportunity to join a small, enthusiastic, forward-thinking team, building close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The role is based in London however this organisation offers a very high degree of remote working with only occasional travel to the office.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Barristers who hold a current certificate to practise in England and Wales. Prior experience of providing legal advice, ideally in-house in a regulatory or public body (or similar) is an essential requirement. Key areas of expertise should include regulatory law but may also comprise public law and policy, corporate governance, contracts or litigation. You will be self-aware having effective communication skills and possess a keen eye for detail. It is also essential that the successful candidate demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated to allow them to work independently whilst adapting to differing priorities.
