JOB TITLE: Criminal Solicitor
PQE: NQ – 2 years’
LOCATION: Manchester
SALARY: Up to c£50,000 (£DOE)

THE ROLE:
The successful Criminal Solicitor will join this firm’s reputable Business Crime and Criminal Defence team. You will be exposed to a range of high-quality work and gain valuable experience to define your career in this area of law. Alongside handling your own caseload of Criminal matters, you will also be exposed to some of the team’s regulatory work and can expect to have some of these files incorporated into your existing caseload. You will have the ability to prepare cases at all levels of court in connection with criminal law issues.

THE CANDIDATE:
This role is best suited to either a Solicitor or Legal Executive who will either be newly qualified or have up to 2 years’ PQE. It is essential that applicants are police station accredited and are able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of criminal law, practises and procedures including PACE. Advocacy skills are desirable, as you will undertake advocacy at court in connection with criminal matters. You must be eager and willing to learn and adapt to this busy team’s way of working and have a passion for this area of law. Excellent time management and organisation skills are essential.
