Corporate Solicitor/Associate (2-4 years PQE), Somerset, £Excellent plus a comprehensive benefits package. The appointed solicitor will join this very successful Corporate team, handling a broad range of mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. In this role, you will be joining a Partner and Senior Associate, working on a variety of corporate transactions for national and international clients. As a national corporate practice there is a good level of interaction and team working between the firms offices, providing additional opportunities to develop your skills and experience. THE ROLE:
This national Corporate & Commercial team is led by 14 Partners and has a presence in the Southampton, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester and Taunton offices. You will be working with colleagues locally and nationally for a wide range of clients including many private companies and their owners in relation to M&A, equity funding and general corporate structuring work. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in larger deals acting for large national or international businesses. Working closely with your team, you will handle straightforward or smaller transactions without needing significant supervision. You will also be encouraged to take an active involvement in business development activities, building client relationships and helping to grow our already well-regarded practice. It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

CORPORATE SOLICITOR:
The Partners are looking for someone who can make an immediate impact and the role would be well suited to a 2-4 year qualified ambitious lawyer, who is looking to progress their career within corporate law. You’ll need a strong intellect to succeed in this role, so it’s important you have a corresponding level of consistent academic achievement. You’ll also need to show the Partners that you have initiative, drive and great organisational skills. The work requires self-motivation, resilience and strong communication skills, both written and oral. You will relish helping others and be eager to learn. Beyond your technical skills, you will have developed strong client management experience and have a strong interest in business development. Essentially, you will also be a genuine team player, looking to support others and share ideas and opportunities for the benefit of the team as a whole, enjoying and benefitting from the resulting success along with your colleagues. If you are ambitions, this role has good prospects for career advancement.
