Award winning National Top 50 Firm, have a requirement for a Construction Solicitor to handle a high quality, complex construction caseload – non-contentious work. High profile infrastructure projects for clients within the public and health sectors. Experience of JCT and NEC contracts is essential. This specialist team provide a comprehensive range of construction law solutions across the wide spectrum of projects undertaken in the construction industry. Clients include private and public institutions, property owners, developers, funders, contractors, specialist sub-contractors, suppliers and construction/design consultants. The incumbent construction team are involved with projects from the outset and work with clients to shape their procurement and contracting strategies. They negotiate and draft all types of construction documentation and help clients to prepare agreements that best reflect their interests and the appropriate placing of risk. They vary from project specific EPC and EPCM contracts to multi-party and collaborative working arrangements and encompass NEC and traditional JCT contracts. The ideal construction litigator will be able to advise on a full range of construction related disputes and have previously worked at a large firm with an established construction team. Experience of procurement and contracting strategies, funding and financing agreements, contract tendering and frameworks and security documentation including advance payment bonds is essential. You must also be a team player and able to build strong client relationships. The team is engaged to advise on live projects, so in order to help avoid disputes and shape commercial negotiations and deals, you need non-contentious experience.
