JOB TITLE: EL/PL Fee Earner
PQE: 2+ PQE
LOCATION: Greater Manchester
SALARY: £30,000 to £40,000 DOE

THE ROLE:
The successful EL/PL Fee Earner will be part of a small team of fee earners and be responsible for their own caseload of Fast Track matters. The caseload will consist of a varied and complex mix of Fast Track EL/PL cases with some exposure to High Value work. The appointed candidate will manage pre-litigated and litigated files therefore confidence in all aspects of litigation is essential. It is imperative that the day to day conduct of files is maintained and progressed in a timely manner, which will include:

• Undertaking discussions and negotiations and discussions with Insurers and Third Parties;
• Undertaking Court Telephone Hearings;
• Pursuing the rapid and appropriate settlement of cases and the apportionment of costs;
• Dealing with all correspondence and telephone calls;
• Providing written updates by email or letter to clients to ensure they receive up to date and accurate information regarding the progress of their case.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are encouraged from Fee Earners who have a minimum of 2 years' experience handling Employers' Liability and Public Liability cases. The EL/PL Fee Earner must be confident in dealing with all aspects of litigation and prior exposure to some high value matters is desirable. Applicants must have exceptional organisational and time-management skills to ensure that this firm's excellent client care standards are met.
