eNL provide specialist legal knowledge within the private practice market.  We are successful in working with all firms around the UK and the experienced locum team can assist with any temporary or fixed term contract needs you may have.  eNL can provide locums for holiday cover, maternity and sickness leave, they can assist in a time of increased caseload and can manage specialist projects within a team.  We can provide individuals ranging from experienced legal secretaries to paralegals, legal executives and qualified solicitors and partners.    In addition, many of our locums are happy to work either on an hourly rate or on a fixed term contract basis.

Our in-house consultants are experienced in providing locum legal support to clients across the commerce and industry sector, including energy, FMCG, property developers, automotive, wealth management, I.T, and telecommunication businesses.

Using our wide network of in-house locum lawyers, we are able to provide support at all levels of experience, from paralegals to assist with document-based or research projects, through to interim General Counsel roles. Our candidates include those with previous in-house experience, or those from a private practice background with secondment experience of working within an in-house team.

What checks do you carry out on your locum candidates?
eNL conduct checks on all locum candidates in line with government regulations.  We gain proof of professional qualifications, proof of identity and eligibility to work in the UK, we carry out equal opportunities and obtain at least 2 recent professional references.  Through obtaining this information we ensure the reliability and professionalism of our candidates.

What happens if my requirement changes?
The agreement you enter into has no formal notice period and therefore changes can be adapted to quickly.

Does a locum always work on an hourly rate?
There are 3 main ways a locum can work, either on an hourly basis, on a daily basis or on a fixed term contract.  Our consultants can advise the best way for you to employ a locum as each assignment has different requirements.  

Why do individuals locum?
There are many reasons why individuals decide to become a professional locum.

Flexibility
Becoming a professional locum means that the locum can decide where and when they work, and for how long

Lifestyle
Some locums choose to locum in order to fit around prior commitments.  They are able to decide when and where they work and which assignments they commit to.

Is there a minimum duration for an assignment?
There is no minimum or maximum duration for assignments.  We have helped firms find a candidate for a matter of days, up to long term 12 month assignments and beyond.
