JOB TITLE: Commercial In-House Lawyer – 12-month Fixed Term Contract
PQE REQUIRED: 6+
LOCATION: Hampshire
SALARY: £80,000 - £90,000 dependant on experience

THE ROLE:
This organisation is seeking an experienced lawyer with around 6 years’ PQE to join its in-house legal team, you will have strong commercial contracts experience. The successful candidate would advise on a wide range of legal matters, including associated risks of new business lines, data protection law, supplier contracts, non-disclosure agreements, intellectual property rights, client engagement terms, master services agreements and other legal, risk and compliance matters. You will be a trusted advisor to the firm’s partners, client teams and surrounding departments, advising on a range of legal framework and drafting a range of contractual documentation. You will be technically strong, and highly proficient in your provision of creative and commercially viable solutions to varied legal challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior associate, looking to transition from fee earning to an in-house legal position

THE CANDIDATE:
You will be a driven, determined and commercially minded Solicitor with a proven track record of thriving in challenging and dynamic legal environments. The successful candidate will have excellent negotiation skills and extensive experience advising on and negotiating commercial contracts. Previous private practice experience is essential along with a strong business acumen, you will be responsible for the supervising and developing of more junior lawyers within the team. The appointed candidate will be a strong communicator who possess a “can do” attitude towards looking for solutions.
