JOB TITLE: Locum Adult Social Services Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 3+
LOCATION: Devon
HOURLY RATE: Up to c£50.00

THE ROLE:
This Busy public sector body are seeking a talented Locum Adult Social Services Solicitor to take on a busy caseload, providing an effective and efficient legal service to the Council’s adult social care department. As the Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer, you will need to be hands on in resolving a range of challenging legal issues arising under the Care Act 2014 including safeguarding, care fees and residence disputes. Your case load of Section 21 matters is likely to include Court of Protection matters, Community Care cases, mental health issues and Judicial Review. You will be responsible for obtaining and evaluating evidence, preparing cases and conducting advocacy.

THE CANDIDATE:
As a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, you will have specific experience within Adult Social Care with a “can-do” zealous enthusiasm and motivation to deliver an excellent service within this role. You will be equally as competent in case preparation as you are in conducting advocacy and will have an outstanding track record in similar roles. Your sound judgement and ability to engage easily with people from various backgrounds will pay dividends within this role. Experience in Education/ giving advice to education panels would be an advantage but is not essential.
