OVERVIEW:
The office is open plan and Fee Earners do not have their own individual caseloads, as the conveyancing team is split into the following departments: New business/File opening/Solicitor dealing with sales files/Solicitor dealing with purchase files. The senior Partner has overall responsibility for all of the files. The team is also assisted by an administrative assistant. The role offered is to work alongside an experienced Paralegal to open the files once the instructions have been received from the client. It would suit someone looking for exciting, fast-paced, friendly and high quality work for a range of clients. The firm has been established for over 10 years and are well known for their professional service. This position is suitable for someone who wants a career as a Paralegal with future scope to develop.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
All aspects of the conveyancing procedure incidental to the progression of matters to include but not limited to: Answering and directing calls providing clients and other parties with updates and doing any follow up work required following the phone call, preparing the draft contract pack on a sale file. Assisting the solicitors to set up the file for exchange and completion. Liaising with all parties to agree a date for completion. Ensuring all documents have been received on the file ready to exchange. Liaising with, updating and reporting in person, in writing and on the telephone. Proactively managing own tasks, daily workflow, post and e-mails and generally working as part of a team to ensure all matters progress to completion in a timely manner.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Must be IT literate with experience of the Microsoft Office suite of applications e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook (SOS case management system desirable). Fast and accurate typing skills, excellent telephone manner and experience of dealing with clients, solicitors and estate agents. Strong organisational skills, a good team player, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Please note that this role is not suitable for candidates primarily looking for a training contract or a fee earning role as there is no individual caseload.
