OVERVIEW:
This award-winning Corporate department is looking to strengthen its team with the recruitment of a senior Corporate lawyer to assist with its strategic expansion. The firm have a rare opportunity for a solicitor, ideally operating at Senior Associate or Legal Director level (although the Partners are open to receiving applications from any senior PQE levels) to join Cumbria’s leading Corporate team who have a thriving M&A practice. This is an opportunity to take a leading role in the team. The successful candidate can work from either of our Newcastle or Carlisle offices with flexible working options. You will be involved in a broad range of Corporate work, but principally M&A transactions, joint ventures and shareholders’ agreements. The focus will be advising the team’s roster of business clients, and leading M&A transactions. As a senior lawyer, you will have strong transactional experience, a commercial approach and the ability to build effective relationships. Whilst a following is not required, a network of contacts would be an advantage. You will have experience of, and enjoy being the first point of contact for clients. You will have early exposure to market leading transactions working with our high-quality client base. As well as running your own matters, you will be working with deal teams on larger transactions, and be expected to assist in the ongoing development of junior team members.
