JOB TITLE: Private Client Solicitor (Head of Department)                  
PQE REQUIRED: 7+       
LOCATION: West Yorkshire                 
SALARY: Up to £75,000 (DOE)                    

THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Private Client to lead an established and respected team within a growing law firm. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced team leader or ambitious senior Solicitor ready to take the next step into a significant leadership position.
You will be responsible for leading, supporting and developing the team, overseeing technical standards and ensuring the delivery of excellent client service. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will retain involvement in a select caseload of complex and high value matters, advising on areas including estate planning, succession planning, inheritance tax, trusts and estate administration.
Working closely with the firm's leadership team, you will help shape the department's strategy and future development, strengthen relationships with clients and professional referrers and identify opportunities for continued growth. You will also play an important role in mentoring colleagues, supporting recruitment and ensuring the team continues to develop.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or STEP qualified professional with substantial private client experience and a strong technical background in complex estate planning, trusts, inheritance tax planning, succession planning and estate administration.
You will have experience leading, supervising or managing a team and be confident advising high net worth individuals, families and business owners on wealth preservation matters.
Strong leadership and people management skills are essential, alongside commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, professional contacts and referrers. This role would suit an established Head of Team or a Senior Private Client Lawyer looking to move into a broader leadership position.
