The Role
The successful candidate can expect a varied list of responsibilities such as:
• Managing a varied caseload of litigation and dispute resolution matters, including complex and high-value disputes
• Providing clear, commercial legal advice to clients
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, and settlement agreements
• Negotiating settlements and represent clients in mediation and related proceedings
• Leading, mentor, and develop fee earners and support staff
• Contributing to departmental business planning and growth strategies
• Building relationships with clients, referrers, and professional contacts
• Attending networking and business development events
• Supporting the achievement of departmental financial targets
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements
About You
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with at least 5 years of experience handling litigation & dispute matters. Alongside this you should also be:
• Experienced in handling contentious matters from instruction to conclusion
• Technically strong with excellent knowledge of civil litigation and dispute resolution
• A confident leader with experience supervising or mentoring colleagues
• Commercially aware with strong business development skills
• An excellent communicator, negotiator, and advocate
