JOB TITLE: Probate Paralegal                 
PQE REQUIRED: 1+       
LOCATION: Greater Manchester                
SALARY: £27,000+ (DOE)                    

THE ROLE:
In this role, you will support Fee Earners with the administration of estates from initial instruction through to completion. You will be responsible for preparing probate applications and drafting the relevant supporting documentation, as well as assisting with the completion of Inheritance Tax forms including IHT205 and IHT400. You will liaise regularly with clients, executors, beneficiaries, HMRC and asset holders, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and clients are kept updated throughout. The role will also involve preparing estate accounts, maintaining accurate file records and managing key deadlines. There may also be the opportunity to support on wider private client matters where required.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience dealing with probate matters within a law firm environment and will have a solid understanding of the estate administration process. You should be confident in drafting probate documentation and assisting with Inheritance Tax forms.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload are essential. You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a professional, empathetic approach when dealing with clients during what can often be a sensitive time.
