Employment Solicitor (Professional Support Lawyer)

Employment PSL – West Midlands

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Professional Support Lawyer to join a highly regarded national law firm in the West Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor looking to move into a PSL role, or an established Employment PSL seeking a new challenge within a national practice with a strong employment offering.

Working closely with the wider employment team, you will play a key role in supporting the development of the practice, keeping lawyers up to date with changes in employment law and ensuring the team has access to the latest legal know-how and resources.

The Role

You will be involved in a broad range of knowledge management and practice development activities, including:

Monitoring legislative changes, case law and developments in employment law.

Preparing and updating legal know-how, precedents, templates and guidance notes.

Producing client briefings, newsletters and articles on key employment law developments.

Delivering internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Supporting business development initiatives and the preparation of client-facing materials.

Working closely with Partners and fee earners to identify knowledge gaps and improve working practices.

Helping to develop the employment team's profile and expertise across the wider firm.

The Candidate

You will be an experienced Employment Solicitor with a strong technical understanding of employment law and a genuine interest in knowledge management and the development of others.

You will have excellent drafting and research skills, a commercial approach and the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels across a national practice. Previous PSL experience would be advantageous, although applications from fee earners looking to make the move into a knowledge-focused role will also be considered.
