The Role:
A legal firm is seeking an ambitious Property Litigation Lawyer to join the team in Monmouthshire. The successful candidate will take responsibility for developing and managing their own caseload, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm and contributing to the wider objectives of the department.
The role will involve handling a broad range of property litigation matters, including:
• Boundary disputes
• Ownership disputes and TOLATA claims
• Residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes
• Possession proceedings
• Easement disputes, including rights of way, rights to light and issues relating to use
• Dilapidation claims
• Land ownership disputes
• Leasehold extension matters
• Business tenancy matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
• Developing the Practice
As well as managing your own caseload, you will have an important role in helping to grow and strengthen the firm's property litigation offering.
This will include:
• Representing the firm at networking events and developing strong professional relationships
• Identifying and developing new sources of work and referral opportunities
• Contributing to marketing activity, campaigns and initiatives
• Helping to strengthen and expand the firm's social media presence
• Working closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for cross-referrals and increase the profile and visibility of the department

About You:
The firm is looking for someone who is motivated to develop their career and build a specialist property litigation practice. You will ideally be able to demonstrate:
• Qualification as a Solicitor or FCILEx
• Experience in property litigation, civil litigation or property law
• A genuine enthusiasm for developing a specialist litigation practice
• Confidence in networking and establishing professional relationships
• Experience using social media and professional networks as part of business development
• Strong IT skills, together with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
• A proactive and commercially aware mindset, combined with a collaborative and team-focused approach
