Job Description

Court of Protection Solicitor, NQ-3 Years PQE, Swindon, £55,000+ (DOE) - We're looking for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join a specialist team in Swindon. This is an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified or junior solicitor to develop expertise in Property and Financial Affairs work while supporting vulnerable clients and their families. REF:4699

THE ROLE:
• This is a varied role offering exposure to complex and rewarding work.
• You will advise and support clients whose financial affairs are managed through Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts, helping to ensure their interests are protected while delivering an exceptional standard of client care.
• Assisting with the administration of Property and Financial Affairs Deputyships.
• Preparing Court of Protection applications, reports and supporting documentation.
• Assisting with the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
• Working closely with clients, their families, case managers, healthcare professionals and other advisers.
• Attending client meetings and visits where required.
• Developing your knowledge of related areas such as statutory wills, funding for care and welfare benefits.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Court of Protection Solicitors with up to 3 Years PQE.
• A genuine enthusiasm for Property and Financial Affairs matters.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach when working with vulnerable clients and those supporting them.
• Strong organisational, drafting and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines effectively
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
