Job Description

Contentious Construction Solicitor
3-6 PQE
Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire / Cambridgeshire

A leading UK law firm is looking to add a Contentious Construction Solicitor (3–6 PQE) to its growing team. Opportunities are available across several office locations, and disputes lawyers with an interest in moving into construction are also welcome to apply.

The role

This is a great opportunity to join a busy and well-respected construction disputes team, handling a varied mix of work including development agreements, building contracts, tender issues and development finance disputes. You’ll be working closely with experienced practitioners on complex matters, with plenty of support and scope to develop your skills in a specialist area.

About you

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing a range of disputes work and confident picking up unfamiliar tasks with the right level of guidance. A practical, common-sense approach and the ability to apply legal principles in a commercial way are key.

You’ll also be someone who:
  • Produces high-quality, reliable work
  • Builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Is keen to develop and take on responsibility
What’s on offer

A supportive, friendly team within a well-established firm known for quality work and genuine career development. The package includes hybrid working, 25 days’ holiday, profit share and bonus scheme, private medical cover, paid charity day, and a strong range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefits.

A solid opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in construction disputes with good people around them.
