JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor (Professional Support)

SALARY: £80,000 - £90,000+ (DOE)

THE ROLE:
An established national practice is seeking an experienced Solicitor to lead its professional support function within the employment, pensions and immigration team. This is a senior position with responsibility for shaping and delivering knowledge strategy, supporting Fee Earners and driving innovation across the wider practice. You will oversee a team of Professional Support Lawyers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal know-how, training and client-facing content. The role involves developing and maintaining precedent materials, delivering internal and external training, and ensuring lawyers remain up to date with legal and market developments. You will also play a key role in content creation, producing materials such as briefings, articles and client updates, as well as supporting business development initiatives.
A significant aspect of the role will involve championing the use of technology and innovation, including the development and management of automated documents and digital tools designed to enhance efficiency and client service. You will work closely with Partners and colleagues across the firm to support strategic objectives and maintain the team’s strong market profile.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with at least eight years’ post-qualification experience and strong expertise in employment law, ideally with some exposure to immigration matters. You may already be operating within a Professional Support role or be a senior Fee Earner looking to transition into a knowledge-focused position. You will demonstrate strong technical ability, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in knowledge management, training and innovation. Experience supervising or mentoring others would be advantageous. A proactive approach, commercial awareness and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the business will be essential.
