EMPLOYMENT SOLICITOR - LOCUM, 3+ PQE, WEST MIDLANDS, £34.14 PER HOUR. This position provides expert legal advice, representation, and advocacy on behalf of Union members, while also working with colleagues and contributing to the development of training programs and resources. JOB REF: 3027

•The appointed locum solicitor will conduct claims and litigation on behalf of solicitors, representing members before tribunals, courts, hearings, and regulatory bodies, while providing legal advice and guidance to colleagues on matters affecting teachers.

•You will also contribute to staff and member training, and prepare written documents, articles, and resources on legal issues.

•The organisation seeks a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with proven expertise in employment law, regulatory proceedings, and advocacy, together with demonstrable experience in case management and litigation.

•The successful candidate will have strong advocacy skills before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies, and be able to provide clear, practical advice with excellent drafting and communication skills.

•The role offers a competitive salary, 35 days’ annual leave (pro rata), and blended working, with 3–4 days in the office and the remainder working from home, subject to business needs.
