PRIVATE CLIENT SOLICITOR (LOCUM) 2+ PQE, DEVON, £50 - £55 PER HOUR. Maternity cover, office-based, open to 4-day week. An experienced private client solicitor is sought to provide locum cover during a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will be supported by a knowledgeable team and benefit from full administrative and legal support throughout the assignment. Friendly culture and welcoming team. • Manage a varied private client caseload including Wills, Trusts, Probate, estate administration, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, providing practical and client-focused advice.
• The role is ideally suited to a solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, although applications from strong candidates outside this level will be considered.
• Fixed-term 9-month locum assignment, working five days per week, with flexibility to accommodate reduced hours where required.
• Predominantly office-based, reflecting the paper-intensive nature of the work, with some scope for hybrid working if appropriate.
• Join an established and supportive team, including fee earners, trainee paralegals, a trainee solicitor, and dedicated legal secretarial support, all available to assist in managing workload efficiently.
• Full administrative and secretarial support is provided, enabling you to focus on fee-earning and client-facing responsibilities.
