Planning Solicitor

Planning Solicitor, NQ–5 Years PQE, Birmingham, £70,000+ (DOE) – A new opportunity for an ambitious and highly capable Planning Solicitor to join this growing Planning team. JOB REF: 2314

THE ROLE:
• You will be involved in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious planning matters
• You will be responsible for providing legal review and strategic advice on complex planning applications, drafting and negotiating Section 106 and Section 278 agreements, acting for local planning authorities and registered providers in relation to CPO work and advising on planning enforcement issues and representing clients at public inquiries
• Building and maintaining strong, effective client relationships
• Actively contributing to business development and marketing initiatives

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications sought from Planning Solicitors with up to 5 Years PQE.
• Proven ability to manage files and take responsibility, independently where appropriate
• A strong academic record
• Exceptional technical legal skills with meticulous attention to detail
• A strong client-focused mindset, with a track record of delivering outstanding service
• A methodical, disciplined, and highly organised approach to complex matters
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across a range of audiences
