OVERVIEW:
• Our client is looking to recruit a skilled Legal Cashier in a permanent position crucial to providing support to the Financial Controller, Partners and internal members of staff to ensure the smooth operation of our department and firm
• This role requires a high degree of self-management and initiative, requiring someone who can hit the ground running with substantial knowledge of cash office/accounts in the legal sector and have the capacity to work within confidentiality requirements
• The role will involve maintaining and reconciling client accounts, handling expenses, checking and posting bills, managing write-offs and maintaining and reconciling the purchase ledger
• Other duties include, but are not limited to preparing VAT returns, processing nominal payments and checking and paying search suppliers
• The successful candidate will be expected to display excellent communication and interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with all members of the business, including stakeholders at all levels
• Our client will also be considering candidates with general understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles and associated terminology and who can display the ability to work under pressure with a high standard of accuracy
