THE ROLE:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lawyer to join a Housing Department within a well-established organisation based in Derbyshire. The organisation provides expert advice to their local clients on all aspects of Housing Law. This role will mainly involve varied caseload levels focusing on legal aid matters, standard evictions, notices, and anti-social behaviour. More experienced applicants may be assigned more complex files. This role will be accompanied by secretarial and administrative support and will initially run for 3 months, with a possibility to join the organisation on a permanent basis. This role is predominantly office-based with a minimum of 3 days per week on-site and will require court attendance. The position is open to both Qualified Solicitors and experienced Legal Executives.

THE CANDIDATE:

The organisation is looking for a qualified Solicitor or an experienced Legal Executive with expertise in all areas of Housing Law, specifically with a rich background in dealing with all aspects of evictions, including notices and anti-social behaviour, including legal aid. You will be equipped with the ability to hit the ground running and have experience with a wide range of caseloads and volumes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail are crucial for this role. Candidates with experience in legal aid area highly encouraged to apply.
