THE ROLE:
A career enhancing opportunity for a talented Senior Regulatory Lawyer has become available to join a supportive and progressive regulatory body. The appointed Lawyer will support the legal functions of this public sector body in order to meet this growing teams’ objectives. It will be your responsibility to provide advice on scope, procedural requirements, evidential considerations, and risk management. You will be responsible for your own caseload in the investigations and enforcement processes, which will include any appeals arising.

Whilst you will be responsible for your own cases you will also be expected to lead a team of fitness to practise lawyers. The appointed lawyer will advise the board and handle key stakeholder relationships as a representative of the organisation. This role offers hybrid working arrangements with predominantly remote working; however, some office presence is essential.

THE CANDIDATE:
Our client is looking for an experienced Solicitor or Barrister with 5+ PQE and experience in managing a team to provide support for the fitness to practice department. This role requires excellent prioritisation and meticulous attention to detail, which will enable you to analysis information/evidence and in turn will lead to great decision making. You will be a proactive individual, looking to take on a leadership role, taking on lead decision making and using your legal expertise on behalf of the organisation. To be successful in this role, the appointed legal professional will be able to balance and prioritise their workload, being proactive and eager to immerse yourself in this new sector. Your enviable skills will allow you to quickly become a key member of this team.
