JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor
EXPERIENCE: 2+
LOCATION: Newcastle
SALARY: up to c£46,500 (£DOE)

THE ROLE:
The successful Employment Solicitor will be responsible for a varied caseload of both litigated and non-litigated Employment matters. The postholder will be expected to conduct and manage all aspects of their caseload, with supervision where required. The appointed Employment Solicitor will also be required to undertake advocacy in the Employment Tribunal to include preliminary hearings and where necessary, carry out advocacy in full hearings. You will have the opportunity to play an active and key role in the future direction of the firm, and in the development and growth of the Employment team.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Legal Executives or barristers who will have gained a minimum 2 years’ experience in handling their own mixed caseload of matters. Good knowledge of Employment Tribunal and appeals with the ability to advise on the prospects of success in ET claims is essential in order to be successful in this role. Applicants must have the ability to prioritise, strong file management skills along with good verbal and written communication skills.
