JOB TITLE: Local Authority Childcare Locum
PQE REQUIRED: 2+
LOCATION: West Midlands/Remote Working
SALARY: £35+ per hour

THE ROLE:
This Busy public sector body are seeking a talented and committed Childcare locum solicitor to take on a busy childcare caseload, conducting casework and advocacy for a wide range of Child Protection Matters. The successful Locum will be responsible for the drafting of any documentation including, briefs, court documentation, full attendance notes and statements of evidence. Experience in areas such as Children Act 1989 and the FPC, Safeguarding, negligence, EL/PL, Human Rights, data protection and vicarious liability would be highly advantageous. To be successful in this role your ability to deal with sensitive situations and difficult clients in a professional, confidential manner.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Childcare Locum Solicitor must have at least 2 years’ experience of working within a similar setting e.g. Local Authority/Council. This role requires you to attend court hearings so you must be able to do your own advocacy. The ideal candidate must be resilient, hardworking, and passionate about this area of law.
