JOB TITLE: Regulatory and Public Law Solicitor
LOCATION: London (Hybrid working – 1 day per week in office)
SALARY: £45,000-£55,000 dependent upon experience

THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity for a pragmatic and proactive Senior Regulatory Lawyer has arisen with a leading professional conduct regulator. Providing high quality legal support across all regulatory decision-making functions, the successful candidate will have exposure to a wide range of work, ranging from providing strategic support on investigations, to advising on policy implementation and all other areas of public law. This could also include drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and handling matters of Judicial Review, and will involve deputising for the Head of Department. The successful candidate will have a huge amount of scope to make a significant contribution to the department and the wider organisation.

THE CANDIDATE:
A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 3 years PQE, you will have gained substantial experience within regulatory law or the wider public law arena, and will be seeking a varied and challenging role as your next career step. The ability to make robust decisions which could be subject of scrutiny, and substantial experience of handling litigation will be essential to be successful in this post. It is likely that you will have worked within a regulatory body or the wider public sector, however those who have acted for public sector clients in the private sector are likely to also possess the right skills for this role.
