JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor

THE ROLE:
This is a fabulous new opportunity for a 1-4 year PQE Employment Solicitor to join a small but expanding education team to advise and support nurseries, maintained schools, academies (both large and small), independent schools, further education and higher education institutions. You will advise education sector clients on employment law and HR matters, both contentious and non-contentious. The team successfully retains and attracts a diverse range of clients in the education sector, assisting them with high quality work. The firm has a client base with some notable educational institutions at its heart and therefore this position is an excellent opportunity for progression. The successful candidate will be well supported in developing their own caseload and career.

THE CANDIDATE:
You will be an ambitious Solicitor with 1-4 years’ PQE, ideally gained from a well-regarded city, regional or national firm, with a well-developed knowledge of employment law and HR. You will ideally have experience in advising educational institutions in both contentious and non-contentious matters and have sound knowledge of, and a genuine interest in, the education sector. You will have a 2:1 degree and preferably have advised clients in the education sector as part of your previous experience or during your training contract.
