JOB TITLE: Defendant Personal Injury Lawyer (12-Months FTC)
EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years PQE
LOCATION: Leicester
SALARY: Up to £60,000 (£DOE)

OVERVIEW:
This leading law firm is in need of an additional Defendant Personal Injury Lawyer to manage a full caseload and assist other Lawyers within the team on matters that include highways law, occupier’s liability, employer’s liability and housing disrepair. The appointed Personal Injury Lawyer will be required to run a full caseload of Local Authority matters from initial instruction until completion. A typical day will include –

• Acting on behalf of various local authorities and insurers.
• Assisting on a variety of claims
• Drafting and performing legal research/investigations
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and preparing cases
• Attending Conferences and Court where applicable

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from candidates with a minimum of 2 – 5 years PQE in PI work, excellent rapport building skills and outstanding interpersonal skills. You will have had previous exposure of working in a local government litigation environment. It is desired that you will have previous experience acting for a local authority and their insurers, however this is not essential. The successful candidate must have a self-starting approach to tasks and projects, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
