JOB TITLE: Legal Counsel (Regulatory Compliance Manager)
PQE REQUIRED: 2+
LOCATION: London (flexible working)
SALARY: On application

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Head of Compliance (Senior Legal Counsel), the successful Legal Counsel will be advising on any regulatory compliance issues affecting the Group.

The role will support the Head of Compliance on any matters relating to the design, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the regulatory compliance programme covering (but not limited to) anti-bribery and corruption, fraud, money laundering, trade compliance (including sanctions), anti-facilitation of tax evasion, competition law, anti-slavery and human trafficking, conflicts of interest and data privacy. The role will include supporting on:

• Business as usual requests, queries and concerns relating to: Code of Conduct and associated policies and procedures.
• Contract reviews.
• Training.
• Internal investigations.
• Management of and legal support to the Privacy Team and Data Protection Champions.

THE CANDIDATE: We’re looking for a qualified solicitor (2 years PQE+), with experience gained within either private practice or in-house, and demonstrable experience in supporting a regulatory compliance programme. It will be advantageous to have obtained a professional certification (CIPP/E or CIPM) or have a particular interest in data privacy compliance.
To be successful in the role you will have excellent attention to detail, be keen to take on new challenges, think outside of the box, and have a proactive, confident, and pragmatic approach.
