JOB TITLE: Commercial Contracts
LOCATION: Essex (Only 1 day per week in the office required)
SALARY: £40,000-£55,000 dependant upon experience

THE ROLE:
Our client based in Essex is looking to recruit a Commercial Solicitor to join their in-house department for a 12 month period working 30 hours per week. With a high degree of autonomy, you will be working as part of a supportive team delivering legal services to a variety of client departments. There will be a strong emphasis on reviewing & drafting all types of commercial contracts and supporting documentation and playing a key role in procurement projects alongside the dedicated procurement team. The subject matter of the contracts will be varied but is likely to include goods, services, and confidentiality agreements. You will also utilise the panel of external legal providers for particular piece of work, acting as a liaison with the internal client departments.
This role can be worked flexibly across 4 or 5 days, with 1 day per week office presence required.

THE CANDIDATE:
A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 3 years PQE, you will have gained substantial experience in Commercial Contracts and procurement and will have exceptional drafting and negation skills.
This role is well suited to a commercial lawyer with availability to commence work at short notice and seeking less than full-time hours. Familiarity with Construction contracts (minor works) would be beneficial along with previous experience of instructing and managing external lawyers.
