Professional Negligence Solicitor, 2-5 PQE, Oxfordshire, £45,000 - £55,000 DOE – A new role has arisen for an experienced Professional Negligence Solicitor to work as an in-house Lawyer within a law firm, handling solicitors’ professional negligence claims. OVERVIEW:
• A new role has arisen for an ambitious Solicitor to join the internal risk and compliance team of this leading law firm.
• This team is a crucial and highly regarded function within the firm and deals will all aspects of risk including those arising from professional negligence and service delivery.
• You will be responsible for handling claims and complaints made against the firm, reporting to and liaising with insurers, providing advice internally on practice issues such as conflicts of interest.
• You will be currently undertaking defendant panel work for solicitor's professional indemnity insurers, or already doing so in house, being a team player with technical expertise, looking for a long term position in a sophisticated team.
• Applications are sought from individuals with circa 2-5 PQE to support the team with a variety of matters.
• A background in professional negligence and/or commercial litigation will be advantageous and exposure to handling claims and complaints is essential as is providing advice around risk avoidance.
• You will join a leading practice where they work as one team and believe in supporting their colleagues to strengthen the firm.
• You will play an integral role in the team and wider firm and will be afforded opportunities for progression.
