Financial Litigation/Professional Negligence Solicitor 2+ PQE, Somerset, £Excellent plus a comprehensive benefits package. The Financial Services Litigation team are specialists in resolving financial services disputes. The scope of their work includes, for example, claims and complaints relating to negligent investment and tax-planning advice, as well as pension disputes. This role will be predominantly home-based, but will allow you to work flexibly between your home working environment and one of the firms offices. THE ROLE:
In this role, you will be joining a well-regarded team made up of three Partners, an Associate, Chartered Legal Executive and nine paralegals and support staff. The team is renowned for group actions, small and large, as well as handling complex, multi-million pound disputes. This is an opportunity for the right solicitor to progress their career and enjoy a fresh challenge within a growing and fast paced team. If you are a qualified solicitor with up to at least six years of experience, then we would like to hear from you. You will have excellent litigation and dispute resolution skills with a focus on professional negligence. Experience of handling financial services professional negligence claims would be advantageous but is not essential. Communication will be one of your strong points, both written and oral. You will be empathetic and enthusiastic about delivering an excellent quality service to your clients, despite working under pressure. You will be someone who is confident and able to assume conduct of files, working autonomously with only light supervision. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor and supervise our more junior fee earners. You will be expected you to be able to use your initiative, work proactively and think ahead, anticipating your clients’ needs in advance wherever possible. You will also be able to demonstrate a willingness to be involved in business development activities.
