JOB TITLE:                  Employment Solicitor
EXPERIENCE:               2+
LOCATION:                  Manchester
SALARY:                      up to c£46,000 DOE

THE ROLE:
The successful Employment Solicitor will be responsible for providing employment advice and often representation on matters to include unfair dismissal, settlement agreements with the addition of some complicated matters such as discrimination claims and TUPE matters. The postholder will be expected to conduct and manage all aspects of their caseload, with supervision where required. The appointed candidate will also be required to undertake advocacy in the Employment Tribunal to include preliminary hearings and where necessary, carry out advocacy in full hearings up to 2 days.
 
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from experienced Employment Solicitors who have at least 2 years’ experience of handling their own mixed caseload of matters. Good knowledge of Employment Tribunal and appeals and the ability to advise on the prospects of success in ET claims is essential in order to be successful in this role. Applicants must have the ability to prioritise, strong file management skills along with good verbal and written communication skills.
