PROPERTY LITIGATION SOLICITOR/LEGAL EXECUTIVE:
The team provide a fully integrated and dedicated real estate dispute resolution service for their clients, working closely with the national real estate, projects, construction and litigation teams. They have extensive experience of acting for private and public sector clients on a wide range of contentious residential Landlord and Tenant matters. The team is part of a wider property litigation department that supports their real estate colleagues and deals with Commercial Landlord & Tenant matters. Clients are typically Registered Providers of Social Housing, private landlords, and Letting Agents. Responsibilities will include, managing defended and undefended litigation in areas such as, but not limited to, anti-social behaviour, housing disrepair, rent arrears, non-access, succession, abandonment and unauthorised subletting. To provide advice on general residential landlord and tenant legal issues in writing and by telephone, attend and represent clients at County Court hearings virtually and in person, draft court proceedings, witness statements and affidavits, negotiate settlements with opposing parties and advising clients on this subject in due course. You will have proven ability to take on responsibility and manage files, presentation/advocacy skills, excellent technical ability, team based approach, good interpersonal skills, presenting and client facing skills and residential landlord and tenant litigation experience is desirable but not essential.
