This Clinical Negligence team deal with claims arising as a result of healthcare professionals acting against the interests of client's health. They advise clients who have suffered physical, mental or economic loss as a result of this negligence and guide them through the initial investigation into their claim and thereafter proceeding through the pre-action and post issue phases of County and High Court litigation. The lawyers also regularly attend the client's inquests. This specialist team have dealt with thousands of claims against hospital trusts, private healthcare providers, care homes, individual GPs and dentists on a variety of different injuries ranging from low to high severity, with particular expertise in relation to fatal claims, industrial disease cases, amputations, brain injury and multiple injuries.
The firm have two exciting opportunities for Solicitors/Legal Executives/Paralegals with up to 4 years' experience to join this busy Clinical Negligence team, based in the East Midlands, part of the firm's wider Litigation Services & Dispute Resolution group. The Partners will also be open to considering experienced paralegals / legal executives with substantial Clinical Negligence experience. You will have exposure to hands-on work from day one and will play a key role in a thriving team to provide high quality legal services to a variety of clients on all aspects of Clinical Negligence work. The firm envisage a blend of home-working and office based work going forward and occasional travel to our other offices may also be required. Your key duties will be, liaising with clients in a professional manner, providing assistance on a broad range of Clinical Negligence work with appropriate supervision, assisting on large complex deals and you will also be building up your own caseload of straightforward matters, handling enquiries efficiently, working to strict deadlines.
Amongst your key competencies you will have a desire to exceed client expectations, a high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment, excellent organisational and prioritising skills, the ability to work in a busy team, excellent communication skills and a desire to enhance client relationships through day to day activity.
