his is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and ambitious Solicitor to join a fast paced law firm which is in an exciting growth phase. The firm continues to go from strength to strength and is in an eviable position having recently posted excellent results. The firm are now looking to appoint a specialist Partner who has experience in all areas of Islamic / Shariah Law. You will have an excellent knowledge of Islamic law and will be able to demonstrate a real depth of knowledge accross areas such as Corporate Finance, M&A work and Private Equity law. You may have chosen to specialise within a specific field within the Islamic area of law and if this is the case my client will be keen to hear from you. You will be passionate about this area of law and demonstrate a desire to develop this market. The successful applicant will be appointed as a Partner and there is the opportunity to head this department up and you will be offered a structured and challenging long-term career progression along with a very competitive salary and benefits package.
In return you must be able to offer skills and expertise across this specialist field of law and will have an impressive array of contacts within the Islamic field of law. You will be able to confidently advise clients on the structuring of a deal where Islamic finance is involved. You will demonstrate sound negotiating and technical skills and the ability to offer the highest standard of client care. The successful applicant will ideally be a Partner in their exisitng law firm or will be an impressive Senior Associate who is currently frsutratred by their lack of career progression within their current firm. You will have a strong level of contacts within the market and will have established a good reputation and number of contacts within this market place. You must be passionate about this area of law and committed to growing this area of the practice. This is a unique opportunity as there is a chance to build on the exisiting team. The only limitations within this role are your own as the firm is committed to this area of law and will give the Partner a free rein in terms of growing this department.
