eNL has an exciting new division which is dedicated to helping its clients who wish to source new or additional support/administration staff and candidates who are looking to pursue a career within law in a support/administration capacity.
This new division will be headed up by the talented Emily Burton who has recently joined eNL bringing with her a wealth of business support recruiting experience.
Business support has been my bread and butter for the past 3 years in commercial recruitment, however joining eNL at this exciting time has afforded me a great opportunity - I get to launch their first ever Legal Business Support desk for the private practice and in-house sectors!
eNL is well known for its expertise in understanding the world of law and has established and built up a strong legal recruitment presence and brand across the UK for the past 20 years, so to expand eNL’s offering further and launch a new Legal Support Division, is certainly an amazing time.
Being at the very forefront and establishing this new division has seen me stepping into the unknown, which of course has seemed a little daunting and challenging at first, but the support I’ve received from eNL’s knowledgeable teams has helped to make the process simple and manageable, including learning legal terminology – although there is still a way to go!
The companies and law firms I’ve spoken with so far, are very pleased to hear we are now becoming a ‘one stop shop’ and that we can assist them with all aspects of recruitment, including qualified and non-qualified legal professionals and business support staff from Receptionists and Legal Secretaries to HR managers and IT technicians. We’ve found the response from candidates and clients alike has been so great, that we’re now formulating a strategy of recruitment for eNL, as we know we will need more hands to fulfil future requirements. I am very much looking forward to building a team of recruitment specialists in the coming months, to enable this offering around the UK.
I feel the importance and the recognition of staff that carry out business support functions for law firms and FTSE 500 companies are often neglected, or dare I say deemed less important, however, they are the back bone of any organisation.
I was reading an interesting article on “the importance of support functions” and one of my favourite quotes is:
“Companies with excellent support functions have been proven to outperform their peers, ensuring the maximisation of shareholders’ returns, business continuity and providing a great and challenging workplace for employees in the long run.”
