With the legal market showing further signs of improvement and a big shift in the property market firms across the country are, once again, turning to locums to provide interim support in all areas of law, particularly residential property. A recent article in the Law Society Gazette suggested that the increase in roles we are seeing is a national trend.
We work closely with a number of organisations, from single partner firms to large national companies, who are recruiting locums to cover absences ranging from long term maternity leave to a few weeks of holiday cover.
Many senior Solicitors and Legal Executives choose to become career locums, enjoying the freedom and flexibility offered by this way of working. Experienced career locums are often able to build up excellent relationships with local firms, often benefiting from repeat bookings with the same team. Registering with an agency is a great way to kick start your career as a locum.
