Executive Network Legal & The Knowle Fun Run - eNL bring in reinforcements and raise in excess of £1,000 for the Princes Trust.
Brief History - The first Knowle Fun Run at 12 noon on Sunday 13th May, was one of the highlights of the 1984 Knowle Festival, with around 500 runners completing 2 laps of the same 2.5 mile course around Knowle as it is today, and raising around £300 for charity.
2010 - There were a total of 100 teams this year as well as many individual runners and walkers.
Just to Name a Few - Help for Heroes team which was made up of people in the TA or regular army, running in uniform with 25kg bergan and boots. The Good, the Bad & the Ugly entered 13 teams. Widney Health running in force with 3 teams, including a secondary team. The most from any one company. ‘You’re fired’ were the first Knowle Fun Run fancy dress team entering into the spirit of the day, running as Business men from the Apprentice.
The eNL Princes Trust team consisted of runners from age 4 to much, much, much older and a big thank you goes to the COO of the Network Group who raised over £500 single handily.
