Birmingham-based legal recruitment business eNL, has appointed a new Director to the Board. As from the 1st October, Rebecca Mawdsley, will take on the role of operations director. Ms Mawdsley joined eNL, which operates nationally and is a subsidiary of Network Group Holdings, as a trainee consultant in 2001, having previously worked for management consultancy recruiters, Michael Warwick Nicholls. In 2003, she left eNL to join recruitment firm Hudson Global Resources, before returning to eNL in 2005. During the past five years Ms Mawdsley has held a key role in managing business development, marketing, networking and client/candidate strategy for eNL. “This is an exciting opportunity for growth and I am well aware that making the most of it will require hard work, enthusiasm and determination. eNL has a great business model and a talented team of consultants. I’m very much looking forward to the future.” she said. Ms Mawdsley, who is currently deputy chair of Birmingham Future’s the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year committee, will continue to work on the ‘fee-earning’ aspect of the business but she plans to gradually move towards more general operational responsibilities. In support of eNL’s strategic growth plan, Pasquale Agatiello, formerly of Hays Legal, will head up the newly established in-house division, which will find suitable candidates for legal roles within commerce and industry. Mr Agatiello has more than ten years’ recruitment experience, spanning retained, search and contingency based client campaigns. His expertise span a diverse client base including FTSE250/350 companies, as well as some of the biggest names in energy, manufacturing, finance, retail, insurance and service organisations. He recruits at all levels from solicitors and company secretaries, through to general counsel and heads of legal divisions. eNL managing director, Rebecca Banks, said: “Pasquale has a solid legal recruitment background, as well as excellent market knowledge and I am confident he will make a success of this new venture. “To complement this exciting time for eNL, I am delighted Ms Mawdsley has joined the eNL Board of Directors. Rebecca has developed excellent business acumen and entrepreneurial flair – she is most definitely part of a new generation of business leaders.”
