East of England is booming!

As a specialist recruiter for the East Anglia area, the East of England has had a great start to 2014 and this is evident through the growth of businesses and also the increase in vacancies throughout the region. The upturn in the property market has resulted in house prices nationwide seeing a 5.4% increase, with prices in the South East and East of England being above the previous peak which was in 2008.

Various law firms are making the most of the increase in property transactions through expanding their residential property and also their commercial property departments. “Commercial law firm Howes Percival has expanded its property practice with three new appointments in response to a significant increase in new instructions from both local and national clients.”

Due to the increase in workload within the East Anglia region, a number of employers are considering taking on apprentices. “Nearly a quarter of employers (23%) in the East of England region are planning to take on one or more apprentices in the next 12 months and almost a half (48%) plan to take on apprentices in the next five years, according to a survey for the recent National Apprenticeship Week.”
